Alrighty then, those off you that already have the pleasure of being in my social network, knows that the road to my PPL starts January 30th at Gothenburg City Airport (formerly known as Säve Air Force base). I’ve just been registered as a member of Aeroklubben which is the oldest aviation society in northern Europe. 2008 is even the celebration of their 90th year! The whole point of this blog is to show aviation buffs (and other grounded peeps) the road to freedom, aka becoming a pilot. I’ll try to show my progress as detailed as possible so that upcoming questions can be answered without much fuss. A budget will be calculated accordingly, so that we all know how poor I’ll become (or how much becoming a pilot approx. costs).
The title for this blog – Mein Flugbuch (my logbook) – comes from the memoars of german fighter ace Günther Rall which he wrote in 2004, ISBN 978-3-9807935-8-2. I highly recommend this book for everyone!

As you’ve already noticed I’m running this blog at a free hosting site. I chose wordpress as it’s a stable open source blog platform which will easily transfer its content to a separate server, when I have time and strength.

Jag har en bekant som börjat skola hos Stockholms flygklubb. Han börjar få abstinens eftersom det varit dåligt väder och var o vartannat pass blivit inställt. Men vi går mot ljusare tider och förhoppningsvis bättre flygväder.
